    Our Pilates instructors are all fully qualified and internationally certified with many joining Elixr after international careers in dance. All our instructors have been trained in the Elixr Pilates method, and combine a scientific and practical approach with their own creativity in each class.
  • Rachel Crompton
    Elixr Pilates Director and Master Teacher Trainer

     Rachel was a professional dancer and choreographer for over 15 years. She has performed and choreographed across a broad spectrum of arenas, from dancing at the famous "Moulin Rouge" in Paris, to choreographing the 2000 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony.

    Rachel loves the buzz she gets from seeing the positive changes made in member's lives through her Pilates teaching.

  • Katharine Millard
    Elixr Pilates Education Author

    Katharine is our Foundation Pilates instructor who commands a strong following with her practical and technical approach to Pilates. Katharine is an exercise physiologist with a Masters degree in Exercise Science and a degree in dance. She is also the Author of the Elixr Pilates Teacher Training manuals.

  • Alice Scott

    Alice first became addicted to Pilates when she used it to treat an injury and to help her gain focus while studying for a degree in Health Science. Her passion then led her to complete professional training with Elixr.

    As a teacher, Alice’s approach is to provide students with a safe yet challenging workout.

  • Ashlea Quigley

    Ashlea's interest for the human body saw her working as a Sports Therapist for National & International sporting teams, after suffering from a back injury and treating it through Pilates she saw the benefits first hand which then inspired her to study and become a ELIXR Pilates Instructor. 

    Ashlea is passionate about the health and fitness industry and is always looking to further her education and use that knowledge of the body in her classes.

    She hopes to inspire and motivate members leaving them feeling like they have had a hard work out..but leaving with a smile!

  • Janet Gilshenan

    Janet comes from a classical and contemporary dance background, performing and choreographing projects in Australia and touring overseas.

    Janet teaches ballet to children (Cecchetti Technique).

    Starting Pilates as a way to stay fit and flexible to keep demonstrating ballet to her students, she has fallen in love with how Pilates helps every age group stay strong and mobile.

  • Jennifer Craddock

    Jennifer has over 15 years teaching experience. Coming from a professional dance performance, choreography, and teaching background, Jennifer has toured with artists such as Kylie Minogue and Marcia Hines, and performed at events such as the MTV and ARIA Music Awards.

    Jennifer started her Pilates training with Stott Pilates and continues to further her education with various courses. She is passionate about the fitness industry and looks forward to seeing you in class!

  • Jennifer Greathead

    Jenny's interest in Pilates started after 12 years as a competitive figure skater and gymnast.

    Jenny became a member of Elixr whilst studying business at university, and the classes were always the highlight of her day. After 3 years in a corporate working environment, Jenny's passion for Pilates led her to become a certified Pilates instructor.

    Through her teaching, Jenny hopes to inspire others to find this same motivation and enthusiam for Pilates. She aims to provide a balanced, well-rounded workout that increases energy, improves posture and encourages a healthier lifestyle.

  • Jodie Low

    Jodie has certainly established her name in the fitness industry. Jodie has co-hosted a number of TV shows including Crunch, Aerobics Oz Style, Inside Sport, and Gymvision. She also won the Miss Australia title 2 years running!

    Jodie loves teaching Pilates and Personal training, and aims to make her classes and workouts functional, efficient, and challenging for fast results. Jodie says "you only have one body, so its important to look after it as best you can."

  • Karl Price

    Karl enjoyed an 18 year international career in Musical Theatre in countries including the United States, Canada, Argentina, Chile and Hong Kong.

    In 2004, after sustaining a back injury dancing, Karl turned to Pilates for rehabilitation. His success with Pilates for rehabilitation quickly led Karl to learn more about Pilates.

    Karl endeavors to leave people feeling like they've had an intense full body workout after his classes, whilst maintaining correct postural alignment.

  • Kate Thomson

    Kate is a former dancer who discovered Pilates after sustaining a back injury. Kate was one of our foundation members, and enjoyed the classes so much she decided to become an instructor!

    Kate has a very friendly, laidback and fun attitude, yet aims to provide challenging and result orientated classes (with an obsession for butt workouts)!

  • Marian Otten

    With 20 years of living her passion in the fitness industry, Marian teaches Group Exercise Classes, Spin and Pilates. Enthusiastic and compassionate, her personal training clients extend to a wide range of people, including people with disabilities.

    Marian has a vivacious personality and an addiction to Golf.

  • Nicki Webster

    Nicki has a background as a professional dancer and sports masseuse, and discovered Pilates in 2001, becoming one of Elixr’s foundation instructors.

    Nicki presents a challenging and creative workout guiding members in safe and correct movement with her sharp eye for technique, and hands on approach.

    Recently finding her new passion in Yoga, Nicki is now in the midst of her Yoga certification studies.

  • Rebecca Lockyer

    Rebecca comes from a background as a professional dancer, having trained extensively in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. She has worked for such companies as Tokyo Disney Resort, Princess Cruises and The Venetian Resort.

    Rebecca started practicing Pilates consistently in 2002 when she was told she would never become a professional dancer unless she fixed her posture!

    In class, Rebecca likes to provide a challenging full body workout with an emphasis on safety and correct postural alignment.

  • Richard Chew

    Richard is the founder of Elixr and has set the direction of Elixr Pilates.

    Richard's teaching experience extends back to his childhood. He started teaching adults Karate at the age of 14, competed with, and then coached the Australian Karate Team in the 80s, and was head coach of the Australian Aerobics Team in the 90s.

    Richard brings his provocative sense of humour to his challenging Pilates and Kickboxing classes.

  • Sari Shillingford

    Sari came to us from the world of fashion design, but has always been involved in sport from a young age. As a competitive equestrian rider  and netballer, Sari found Pilates as the perfect outlet to challenge her body-awareness, stability, and concentration. Her vivacious personality motivates her clients through challenging but always safe and fun workouts.
