An exercise physiologist with a Masters degree in Exercise Science and a degree in dance, Katharine commands a strong following thanks to her practical and technical approach to Pilates. She is the author of the Elixr Pilates Teacher Training manuals.

As part of her 10-year career as a professional dancer, Joanna spent a year in Paris performing at the prestigious Moulin Rouge. The strength and flexibility Pilates offered her as a dancer ultimately led her to train as an instructor.
A former dancer who discovered Pilates after sustaining a back injury, Kate was so taken with her classes at Elixr that she decided to turn Pilates into a career. And while her friendly personality and relaxed attitude makes for a fun class every time, there’s no-one more committed than Kate to seeing results.
Melanie discovered Pilates during her professional dance career and is now a dedicated instructor. She loves Pilates as an effective and efficient form of exercise. Mel strives to continually bring the members a challenging and enjoyable class with a strong focus on form and technique.
Janet has a background in classical and contemporary dance. She took up Pilates classes in order to stay fit and flexible and to keep demonstrating ballet to her young students. She has since fallen in love with the way in which the discipline helps every age group stay strong and mobile.

Jenn has over 15 years’ experience in the practice of Pilates. Her enjoyable, but challenging classes offer a full body workout that focuses on increasing muscular strength and flexibility, improving mobility and stability of joints, and reducing back pain, neck tension, and stress.
Karl is a Cert’ IV Personal Trainer, an FMS Level 2 Coach and a Teacher Trainer for Elixr School of Pilates. Karl's classes provide intense, functional, full body training. His passion lies in identifying and addressing any dysfunction in movement patterns to minimise stress on joints and maximise training results.
A qualified Pilates instructor and yoga teacher, Bree began her Pilates journey 10 years ago when her disciplined practice saw her successfully rehabilitate a back injury. She later undertook and completed her professional training with Elixr School of Pilates.
Katrina danced from age 5, but turned down a professional dance career for University. She tried Pilates to help with an injury and was immediately hooked. After living in London, Katrina came home and studied with the Elixr School of Pilates. In 2015, she quit her corporate career to teach Pilates. Katrina is also the Elixr Education coordinator and an ESOP teacher trainer.
Vee discovered Pilates 6 years ago after developing back pain from a long career in hospitality. She is a Pilates fanatic, a love that was born here at Elixr and lead her to do the Elixr Pilates Teacher Training. Vee loves that Pilates is for everyone and is a big believer in the long term benefits. Her classes are a dynamic whole body workout, with a special dose of fun!
Juliet, who found Pilates through a back injury, loves and believes in its success for physical and mental wellness. Her classes focus on the importance of postural alignment, the body’s powerhouse ( the core) and breath. She firmly believes that enjoying exercise is a fundamental keystone to sticking with any fitness program and therefore makes classes challenging but fun.

Prudence has been practicing Pilates for 15 years, coming from an athletic background including state volleyball and distance running. Martine has been teaching since 1997. She trained in Iyengar under Anna Prior, before moving on to study Hatha. Further into her yoga journey, she discovered her love of Ashtanga. A teacher since 1995, Don has trained with leading practitioners across the globe and studied pranayama and meditation in India. He believes the inward journey prompted by the practice of yoga is as important as the final destination. Aside from his popular yoga classes, Don also runs retreats and teacher training programs.
Margaret is a certified Iyengar teacher with a keen interest in the ethical, spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga. Her vast knowledge and skills ensure that her classes are always in demand. Margaret also conducts international teaching courses in Byron Bay with her husband, Glenn.
Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, Henryk began practicing this style of yoga in 1984. A dedicated student, he has visited Pune several times and has the blessing of Guruji to conduct therapy classes, teacher training and continuing education courses, and to assess teachers as part of the certification program.
An experienced and internationally recognised KPJAYI-authorised Ashtanga yoga teacher who believes that yoga is the key to personal freedom and happiness. Madina began teaching in 2006. Her approach is deeply rooted in Ashtanga yoga tradition, Tibetan Buddhist practices and her love for yoga anatomy. She is skilful in using breath and awareness in yoga practice and is passionate about building a solid knowledge and understanding of asana alignment and technique.
Sophie has practised, studied and taught around the world. She completed her initial 200-hour training at Yoga Arts and continues to study with Clive Sheridan. Sophie teaches a dynamic style of Hatha and encourages students to approach these practices as a holistic tool for self-enquiry, growth and inner transformation.

Sport-phobic Robert was surprised to find himself engaged by a physical yoga practice. While living in Japan, he developed an interest in eastern philosophy and an exploration of Zen Buddhism later extended to Buddhism, Taoism and Hinduism. Robert teaches from experience and practice and encourages the same in others.
Sophie is an understanding and responsive teacher who is passionate about helping her students get the most out of their practice. She was inspired to teach after studying Iyengar with Glenn Ceresoli in India. In 2011, Sophie went on to complete her intensive teacher training course in Byron Bay.

After exploring several forms of yoga, Terri found herself drawn to Iyengar for its commitment to alignment. Jacqui was initially drawn to yoga for the mental and physical tools it gave her to deal with life’s challenges and later completed her training in Hatha yoga with Don Peers. Bree has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching it since 2015. She completed her training in classical Hatha in India and has studied advanced Vinyasa and Yin in Australia. Georgia began practicing yoga in 2010 as injury rehabilitation. Since then, she has completed over 500 hours of study under Don Peers, Idit Hefner, Katie Manitas, Sunita Patil and Jasmine Tarkeshi. A recovering New Yorker, Kelsey quit full-time corporate life in 2013, moving to Sydney where she now encourages students to cultivate contentment and self-awareness in her classes. Kelsey is also an AAYT registered yoga therapist working towards a Masters in Psychotherapy.
Felicia was introduced to yoga through meditation over 20 years ago, when she became seriously ill after suffering burnout in her fast-paced fashion career. She has since completed over 500 hours of yoga training with Sukha Mukha, Dharmashala, Jasmine Tarkeshe and Don Peers. Felicia has studied nutrition, Ayurvedic medicine, reiki, and more.
Pauline completed her yoga teacher training course with Yoga Arts in Byron Bay in 2004 and went on to further her studies in Iyengar under Glenn Ceresoli, who continues to teach her. Pauline is committed to creating an authentic environment where students can experience the deeply therapeutic effects of yoga.
Joao has been a student and teacher of yoga for over a decade and has trained with renowned teachers Duncan Peak, Simon Borg-Olivier and Simon Park. His classes combine his passion for arm balances and inversions delivered in a progressive way, and with a deep focus on alignment and energetic assists.
Domenica was introduced to Hatha yoga in 1994 and in 1999 she commenced Ki yoga teacher training. From there a natural movement toward Iyengar yoga began. Its method is the foundation of the classes that she teaches. She is also a certified trainer in Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and more recently training in Yin yoga.
Amy has been practicing yoga since she was 14 and teaching since 2016. She enjoys a dynamic practice and often incorporates strength-focused movements within her classes. Amy has completed teacher trainings in various different styles including Awakening Yoga, Yin and Mindfulness. She is also a musician and values pairing music with her sequencing.

MJ started his career teaching circuit training, aerobics and step. Later muscle conditioning / pump, spin and fitness kick boxing. His interest in the fitness industry started at the age of 14 when he commenced his training in martial arts and felt privileged to learn the focus, discipline and behavioural flexibility that his early training taught him.
Stephen is a fitness professional with 20 years’ experience in the industry. He is registered with Fitness Australia and is certified in numerous disciplines. Following a successful sport aerobics career, Stephen turned his focus to instructor training and development and is a regular presenter at the Filex National Fitness Convention.
Not only does Trish have several qualifications – Certificate III and IV Fitness, Certificate IV Training and Assessment in Education (TAE 10), and a Masters in Education – she has also taught at seven health and fitness clubs in Sydney. A swim instructor since 2001, Carel brings a wealth of experience to every lesson. When she’s not in the pool helping her students reach their goals and teaching them about water safety, Carel is working towards an arts degree majoring in Spanish and International Studies.

Kieran has been swim teaching for around 10 years now. He started out as a volunteer while training to represent WA as a teenager. Since then he has completed a Bachelors of anatomy and sport science and another in acting. Kieran specialises in technique and race development.
As a former competitive swimmer, Richella enjoys passing on her knowledge, swim techniques and love of swimming to her students. She is a current North Bondi surf life saver, bronze medallion and ART holder and is currently at Sydney Uni studying to be a PDHPE and Biology teacher.
Abby has loved the water ever since she was little. She was an avid squad swimmer and water polo player in high school, so she's passionate about sharing her love of swimming and teaching other's to swim. When she's not teaching, she's studying International and Global Studies at University of Sydney.

Richard is the founder of Elixr and has set the direction of Elixr Pilates. Richard's teaching experience extends back to his childhood. He started teaching adults Karate at the age of 14, competed with, and then coached the Australian Karate Team in the 80s, and was head coach of the Australian Aerobics Team in the 90s.
