Located at our Bondi Junction club, Elixr Swim School is committed to teaching people of all ages, fitness levels and experience to swim. And whether you’re exploring our Learn to Swim program for babies and toddlers, or private sessions to improve your technique, our team of qualified swim instructors is there to teach tried and tested programs that emphasise confidence, individual progression and above all, safety.

Baby Swim Classes Elixr

PARENT & BABY CLASSES

8-16 MONTHS / 16-24 MONTHS / 2-3 YEARS

For all parent and baby classes, parents are in the water and have a set lesson plan which remains consistent the whole time, as this is how children learn best. There can be up to 8 babies per class and we do expect you to get WET! Member $300, Non-Member $330. Weekend : member $330, non-member $360. You will need a washable or disposable swim nappy. Toddler Swim Classes Elixr

TODDLER & PRESCHOOL CLASSES

2.5 YEARS TO PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE

Little Rockets 1 (Turning 3 within the current term): This class is without parents in the water and a mixture of song and Learn to swim lesson, learning independence and confidence. There are up to 2 children per class. Swim nappies are still required if your child is not toilet trained. Swim cap and goggles are also required which can be purchased at reception. Member $300, Non-Member $330. Weekend : member $330, non-member $360

Little Rockets 2 (3yrs to almost independent): There are up to 2 children per class. These classes are priced higher due to the fact there are only two children per class, and are working on being more independent and unassisted in the water. Swim nappies are still required if your child is not toilet trained. Swim cap and goggles are also required which can be purchased at reception. Member $300, Non-Member $330. Weekend : member $330, non-member $360

Little Rockets 3 (Approx age 4-5 yrs): Children in Little Rockets classes 3 can either do a few meters of unassisted swimming. At this level, we are aiming to achieve swimming with their eyes in, over arms and backstroke for a small distance before they move along with some basic water safety. 2 children per class. Member $300, Non-Member $330 nWeekend : member $330, non-member $360


Little Rockets 4 (Approx 4-5.5 yrs): Children in Little Rockets classes 4 can either do 5 meters of unassisted swimming. At this level, we are aiming to achieve swimming with over arms and backstroke, they will have an also be able to do breaststroke legs and butterfly legs and some basic water safety. 2 children per class. Member $300, Non-Member $330. Weekend : member $330, non-member $360

Primary School Swim Classes Elixr

PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASSES

LEVEL 1 TO 7

Our after-school programs run from age 5+ (as long as they are in primary school) each weekday afternoons from 3.30pm - 6.30pm and all day on the weekends. Our entry level is level 1 for children who are either new to swimming or are nervous and needing assistance and we run up to level seven, before going into squad. Each level takes a minimum of three terms to get through. Level one to two, 3 children max. Level three to four, 4 children max. Level five to seven, 6 children max. Squad, 12 children max over two lanes.

She is passionate about teaching pre-schoolers and also volunteers as an operations manager for a local girls surf riders group in Bondi.

In realising how important swimming is for everyone, especially in Australia, Elena developed a passion to teach.

You wanted to know…

There are a few things that set us apart. Firstly, the tranquil atmosphere of Elixr Health Club Bondi Junction provides the ideal teaching environment for our nationally qualified Swim School instructors. Secondly, we teach tried and tested swim programs to small classes – we stay below the recommended number of participants per class. And thirdly, our instructors focus on improving technique before increasing distance to ensure that those children who progress to squad training do so with the correct technique in place.
We run on 10-week terms regardless of school holidays (public or private) and may on occasion run a week into the school holidays.
National guidelines recommend that babies younger than six months do not attend public pools, and in accordance with this, we enrol babies from eight months onwards. Starting lessons at this age ensures that your little one has more neck stability, a more mature immune system, and increased awareness of their surroundings. Until such time as you start swimming lessons, bathtime is the perfect way to introduce water play into your little one’s routine – pour a trickle of water onto their tummy, make little splashes with bath toys, and show them how to kick their feet to make a splash.
It’s quick and easy. Simply click the Send us a Message button above and a member of our Swim School team will be in touch. Alternatively, give us a call on (02) 8113 1109. Once we’ve sent through your paperwork, we’ll hold your spot for 48 hrs. Given the popularity of our Swim School, if you do not return your completed forms within 48 hrs, your place will be allocated to someone else. For your convenience, fees are payable every ten weeks via automatic direct debit, ensuring that your child remains enrolled.
While we do our best to book lessons for members of the same family as close together as we can, this is not always possible given that classes for under 5s take place in the morning, while those for children over 5 take place in the afternoon.
Our direct debit system is quick and convenient and automatically re-enrols children at the end of each 10-week lesson cycle. This means that parents no longer need to remember to do so and are therefore no longer at risk of losing their preferred class day and time.

Elixr takes child protection very seriously and take advise from all national governing bodies to keep up to date on information, all business with child based activities should have a child protection policy. Adult Private Lessons

Our qualified swim coaches are available for private sessions, which focus on your specific requirements regardless of skill level. The 30-minute classes are either one-on-one or one-on-two.

FEES

$60 for one 30 minute class

$600 for 10 class pack
