Rachel was a professional dancer and choreographer for over 15 years. She is an Elixr Instructor Trainer and STOTT Pilates Instructor trainer. She derives great satisfaction from witnessing the positive changes made in peoples’ lives through her pilates teaching.
An exercise physiologist with a Masters degree in Exercise Science and a degree in dance, Katharine commands a strong following thanks to her practical and technical approach to Pilates. She is the author of the Elixr Pilates Teacher Training manuals.
As part of her 10-year career as a professional dancer, Joanna spent a year in Paris performing at the prestigious Moulin Rouge. The strength and flexibility Pilates offered her as a dancer ultimately led her to train as an instructor.
A former dancer who discovered Pilates after sustaining a back injury, Kate was so taken with her classes at Elixr that she decided to turn Pilates into a career. And while her friendly personality and relaxed attitude makes for a fun class every time, there’s no-one more committed than Kate to seeing results.

Katrina danced from age 5, but turned down a professional dance career for University. She tried Pilates to help with an injury and was immediately hooked. After living in London, Katrina came home and studied with the Elixr School of Pilates. In 2015, she quit her corporate career to teach Pilates. Katrina is also the Elixr Education coordinator and an ESOP teacher trainer.
Juliet, who found Pilates through a back injury, loves and believes in its success for physical and mental wellness. Her classes focus on the importance of postural alignment, the body’s powerhouse ( the core) and breath. She firmly believes that enjoying exercise is a fundamental keystone to sticking with any fitness program and therefore makes classes challenging but fun.
Prudence has been practicing Pilates for 15 years, coming from an athletic background including state volleyball and distance running. She views Pilates as a continuous journey of discovery and is motivated to share her enthusiasm for this process with her students, while giving them a complete and satisfying workout.
Finance professional turned Pilates enthusiast. A recurring back injury from pole vaulting in his youth led Shu to discover the wonders of Pilates. Now having practiced regularly for 10 years, Shu thanks the core strength he has gained for allowing him to return to living a very active lifestyle. His true belief is that strength is best built from the inside out.
Warwick started Pilates 20 years ago to supplement his other exercise programmes, with it progressing overtime to being his primary form of exercise. Having just finished working for the airlines, and working in the fitness industry since the late 1980s, Warwick has been an aerobics, circuit, step and Pilates instructor.
Originally from Barcelona, Imran has over 10 years experience as a instructor in different trainings such as high intensity, Pilates, stretching, aerobics and step. The last 5 years has been managing and training teams over 40 people in all these disciplines. Trained in dance between Barcelona, New York and London, he's always seeking new experiences and growing constantly as a professional.
Originally from Canada, Mel started her fitness teaching journey as a spin instructor and then discovered her love for Pilates after a lower back injury. Mel works in marketing by day and balances her busy lifestyle with Pilates to support her mental and physical well-being.
Martine has been teaching since 1997. She trained in Iyengar under Anna Prior, before moving on to study Hatha. Further into her yoga journey, she discovered her love of Ashtanga. Martine focuses on breath work and movement and her classes are a balanced mix of challenging poses and relaxation techniques.
A teacher since 1995, Don has trained with leading practitioners across the globe and studied pranayama and meditation in India. He believes the inward journey prompted by the practice of yoga is as important as the final destination. Aside from his popular yoga classes, Don also runs retreats and teacher training programs.
Margaret is a certified Iyengar teacher with a keen interest in the ethical, spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga. Her vast knowledge and skills ensure that her classes are always in demand. Margaret also conducts international teaching courses in Byron Bay with her husband, Glenn.
An experienced and internationally recognised KPJAYI-authorised Ashtanga yoga teacher who believes that yoga is the key to personal freedom and happiness. Since 2009, she has been teaching her students to combine dynamic movements with breath. Kerstin also holds a PhD in Molecular and Marine Biology.
Passionate about yoga, Yuki has studied Ashtanga, Iyengar and Hatha with several respected teachers, including Pixie Lillas, James Bryan and Nicky Knoff. His teaching goals include helping his students feel relaxed and energised, and seeing them finish his classes looking and feeling happier than when they started.
Catarina has been practicing yoga for over 14 years and teaching it since 2008. She studies under Eileen Hall, Clive Sheridan and R Sharath Jois and enjoys pranayama, mediation and her daily practice. Catarina travels to India annually to deepen her study of the discipline.
After exploring several forms of yoga, Terri found herself drawn to Iyengar for its commitment to alignment. She began her teacher training in 1999, started teaching under the supervision of Kay Parry in 2003, and in 2004, progressed to teaching independently. Terri regularly attends training workshops with senior international teachers.
Felicia was introduced to yoga through meditation over 20 years ago, when she became seriously ill after suffering burnout in her fast-paced fashion career. She has since completed over 500 hours of yoga training with Sukha Mukha, Dharmashala, Jasmine Tarkeshe and Don Peers. Felicia has studied nutrition, Ayurvedic medicine, reiki, and more.
Domenica was introduced to Hatha yoga in 1994 and in 1999 she commenced Ki yoga teacher training. From there a natural movement toward Iyengar yoga began. Its method is the foundation of the classes that she teaches. She is also a certified trainer in Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and more recently training in Yin yoga.
Vicki’s yoga story began in London in 2002, when her regular spin class was full she found herself in pigeon instead. Now a Sydney based senior yoga teacher she fuses all forms of movement into her classes which are fun and unique. She is currently undertaking advanced training with Tiffany Cruikshank and Yoga Medicine.
Bianca is a co-founder of Yoga Synergy and its unique Synergy Vinyasa method. She has been teaching for 25 years and has studied a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology & Psychology) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at Sydney Uni. She now teaches Synergy Vinyasa classes at Elixr.
Aya began her yoga journey when she was a university student. After doing her first yoga in India (Hatha, Vinyasa, Sivananda yoga), Aya began teaching at local yoga studios around Tokyo. She found Ashtanga Yoga in 2008 in Tokyo and was completely hooked. Aya has studied and apprenticed with Eileen Hall and continues studying and learning.
Claudine's yoga journey began with the Ashtanga tradition under the tuition of Martine Allars and she has since trained in Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin with her mentor Don Peers. For Claudine, the joy of teaching lies in helping students tap into their inner strength and reconnect with their body and breath. Claudine teaches dynamic classes with a strong link between movement and breath.
Miranda started practicing Iyengar yoga 10 years ago in Melbourne, and decided to take her passion for yoga practice into teaching. Miranda trained under the guidance of Don Peers at Elixr, and completed her advanced sequence training with Idit Hefner Tamir. Miranda aims to allow her students to reconnect with their body and breath through her mindful Hatha classes.
Morgane found yoga 20 years ago and became a teacher when she saw how yoga expanded beyond the physical. Morgane has trained under Elisha Young, Mel Mclaughlin, Arian Levanael, Rachael Coopes, amongst others. Qualified in Vinyasa and Yin, she enjoys teaching yin and yang for a complete experience and believes this is crucial for developing a sense of calmness for the mind, body, and soul.
Peter has over 20 years of yoga experience and aspires to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with his students. After practising yoga for seven years Peter started teaching at the Australian School of Yoga in 1999 and qualified as an Iyengar teacher with training under Anna Prior and Kay Parry. Originally from England, Victoria is a highly experienced swimming instructor and manager who has been teaching for over 3 decades across the UK, USA, and Australia. Elena has shared a love for water since she was a little toddler. Although she grew up in Italy near the mountains, Elena’s love for water and sunshine brought her to live in Australia. In realising how important swimming is for everyone, especially in Australia, Elena developed a passion to teach.

Richard is the founder of Elixr and has set the direction of Elixr Pilates. Richard's teaching experience extends back to his childhood. He started teaching adults Karate at the age of 14, competed with, and then coached the Australian Karate Team in the 80s, and was head coach of the Australian Aerobics Team in the 90s.
